When you begin to think about what we can do to help child labor, there are various ways we can come up with. To begin, try to think about possible ways we can solve it, and what you are doing. We have to think about what is causing this brutal work on these kids. Poverty and strong forces, both play an integral role in forced child labor. First off, we could say that by donating money to these countries, could lessen the amount of money these families need to work for. True, but the problem with this is that it isn’t enough. Nobody could provide daily needs everyday for every family living in every country in poverty. We must think why are these people poor? Well it's probably because of controlling forces. People who limit their earnings, and people who think what's everyone's is theirs. That's probably why the people are poor. How do we help solve this issue? As people on Earth, we must stop involving in war. People with power fought to get it, and stronger forces is what causes most forms of child labor to occur.
Most brands, like Nike, Target and H&M are starting to turn away cotton picked by child slaves. By buying these brands, you are making less need for child workers. Try to stick to brands that aren’t made in these dreadful factories.Remember slaves back in the sixteen hundreds were captured from Africa? Well the same type of work is still needed today. But who will pick the cotton in these poor countries?
The reason child labor hasn’t been solved yet is because it's very hard to stop. The supply that our world needs greatly impacts the lives of everyday people. A farmer, a doctor, all play a whole big role in today's society. And sadly, so do these children. This matters because it affects their lives, and very severely so. As Martin Luther King Jr said, “All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken…” This proves that even the most important people in history believe we need to stop child labor.
